Our Services

When Death Occurs

Telephone us as soon as you wish on 01259 725 999 and a member of staff, not an answering machine, will personally answer your call. We are there to advise and guide you, 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

You do not need a death certificate before contacting us. We can meet you in the comfort of your own home, or in our Sauchie premises where we have rooms suitable for discussion of funeral arrangements.

When Death Occurs in Hospital

When a loved one passes away at hospital or a nursing home, the staff will ensure that the relevant paperwork and death certificate is issued. Once this has been done or we have authorisation from the hospital staff we can then transfer your loved one into our care.

You can call Hillview Funeral Services at any time of day and night and we will transfer your loved one when instructed to do so.

In the next following days we can arrange to meet either at home or at our funeral home to discuss the funeral arrangements of your loved one.

For all enquires please contact Steven, Yvonne and Brian on 01259 725999.

When Death Occurs at Home

When a loved one passes away at home, the first point of contact should be with their family doctor. The doctor will instruct you when to call a funeral director.

You can call Hillview Funeral Services on 01259 725999 at any time of day and night and we will transfer your loved one into our care immediately or at an agreed time of your choice.

You may be required to contact the police who will then advise on the next stage. We can also give guidance on the police procedures, please don’t hesitate to contact us if your require more information.

In the next following days we can arrange to meet either at home or at our funeral home to discuss the funeral arrangements of your loved one.

For all enquires please contact Steven, Yvonne and Brian on 01259 725999

Before the Funeral

Facilities are provided both day and night to transfer your loved one to our funeral home. At our arrangement interview, which may take place in our office or in the comfort of your own home, we will discuss options for the funeral itself and complete all relevant paperwork.

We will then liaise with all medical staff, clergy, crematoria and cemeteries to co-ordinate the timings of the funeral.  We will organise press notices, flowers, catering and any other needs you may have.

The Funeral Service

The following points will be part of the decision process of the funeral. Each will be fully discussed and explained during the arrangement process:

Burial or Cremation
If a burial, do you have an existing lair or will you require help with purchasing a new one? If a cremation we can guide you in the options available.

Timing
What day and times will be most suitable for all participants?  Previous bookings may mean that your preferred time is unavailable so do you have a second choice?

Participants
The service can be conducted by a priest, minister, humanist official, civil celebrant, friend or relative? We can make the necessary arrangements on your behalf.

Order of Service Sheets
These can be personalised to include a colour photograph or a special poem of your choice. There is no extra charge for this service.

Fleet
We have recently purchased a black Volvo hearse & limousine. The limousine can carry up to 7 people. We also have a black removal vehicle which is a valuable asset to our fleet. We can arrange for additional limousines if so required. We can also supply a piper.

Floral Tributes
Wreaths, sprays or themed arrangements of your favourite flowers with selected colours can be arranged on your behalf from reputable local florists.

Catering
If you require funeral catering we can liaise with the hotel of your choice for the refreshments you request. Will you prefer a choice of drinks or specific drinks on arrival – will you provide a simple buffet or a lunch?
